Bortram can even lengthen your V class wheel base by as much as a 1000mm (along with all necessary paper work of course) creating unparalleled room in the rear for 4 x reclining seats etc, but as with any bespoke creation, there is a lot to consider when selecting your vehicle and safety is the first thing!

Safety
European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval, TUV Certification
Bortram has over 35 years of utilising lightweight materials with other projects which include aircraft and yachts so weight constants are always taken into consideration.
Whilst ISO dictates the maximum size of a TV can be no larger than 22” for this particular, accreditation from other approval bodies will certify larger TV’s even up to 42”. Driver’s seat and passenger seat movement are unrestricted with Bortram’s ingenious designs of driver partitions.
All our vehicle conversions use electrical systems and appliances that have been ‘EMC’ tested. Basically, this is a test to confirm aftermarket fixtures and fittings do not interfere with the vehicle’s electrical systems such as, brakes, airbags, throttle, and even aircraft’s electrical systems that may pass over the vehicle.
The Bortram approval process is underwritten by the worlds leading authorities for uncompromised safety and reliability for both drivers and passengers.

Having the right layout for your seating makes a tremendous difference, sticking with the conventional layout provided by manufacturers, is just one option that you have to choose from.
Here at Bortram, we can rearrange your vehicle’s seating into several different layouts, each designed to accomplish a different result. One example is our conference-style design, which allows for a more socialised experience.
Vehicle Electrics
As with every vehicle, there are many options to consider, this encompasses everything from your sound system, to TVs and other media devices that you may want your vehicles equipped with.
The list is endless from the vehicle having its own IP address to intercoms, streaming devices, HDMI connections, and charging facilities for phones and laptops.
As each Bortram is bespoke there really are no limits to what we can achieve.
Soundproofing
Bortram utilise comprehensive soundproofing methods throughout the vehicle to enhance and create a more secluded and private experience, allowing for minimal noise interference from outside entering the vehicle.

No, we do not look to tune the V-Class Mercedes-Benz that we work on to influence a performance boost. However, there are many factors that can influence the overall performance of the vehicle, such as weight distribution. Which our modifications could alter. However, we are on-hand to offer our support to help you transform your vehicle in the way that best suits your needs.

Typically the V-Class range comes with 6 passenger seats as standard, 7 seats in total. But you have the option to reduce the number or seats or convert the space to create a more spacious design, with compromising on seating.

We always look to keep the original features of the vehicles where appropriate. For example, the air-conditioning system is often left by our team.

You can have whatever you want added to the interior of the vehicle. However, you must bear in mind the weight of the vehicle which cannot exceed 2650KG, because the Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) is listed as 3100kg, as you need to allow a minimum of 75KG for each passenger seat.
